We guarantee that all the hardware components we sell are genuine, and are made by the original equipment manufacturer. We do not sell "me too" parts made by third parties. This means that if you buy a part for self-installation, when you open up your gadget, you will see that not only does our part look exactly like the part in your gadget, but the part number will also match.*
Examples of parts that are OEM:
Hard drives
LCD & OLED screens
Motherboards/main boards/circuit boards
Headphone jacks
Circuit board components such as diodes, capacitors, etc
Touch Pads
Any other hardware components
An exception to this rule applies to accessories. We do sell aftermarket accessories along with OEM accessories. The item description will indicate whether an item is aftermarket or OEM.
Examples of items that might be aftermarket/non-OEM:
USB cables
Earbuds
Car chargers
To see if an item is OEM or non-OEM, read the Item Description or "Genuine Parts Guarantee" section.
If you have any questions regarding this page or its definitions, please send us an email.
* Model numbers may not match due to different batches used by the manufacturer. Some components do not have part numbers printed on them.
